Distinguished Service Cross

The Distinguished Service Cross is a military decoration of the United States, which was created by a congressional law on July 9, 1918. The Distinguished Service Cross is awarded to any person who has served in the United States Forces and has distinguished himself by a heroic act that can not however justify the award of the Medal of Honor.
