BEAUMONT HAMEL : Newfoundland Monument.

Le plus grand parc des champs de bataille aménagé à la mémoire des Terre-Neuviens qui succombèrent durant la Première Guerre mondiale se trouve à Beaumont-Hamel, à 9 kilomètres directement au nord de la ville d'Albert.

A partir de l’entrée de l’église de Beaumont Hamel, remonter la rue pour voir apparaitre les 1ers
panneaux vert du CWGC indiquant le chemin vers le cimetiere militaire de Beaumont Hamel.
Suivre la route et dépassez le cimetiere, sans empruntez le chemin y menant. Une fois dans le
village de Auchonvillers, suivre les panneaux indiquant le mémorial Canadien.
Suivez la route pour arriver au site.

The largest of the battlefield parks established in memory of Newfoundlanders who fell in the First World War is Beaumont Hamel, nine kilometres directly north of the town of Albert.

From the entrance to the church of Beaumont Hamel, go up the street to see the first green
signs CWGC indicating the path to the military cemetery of Beaumont Hamel. Follow the road
and go past the cemetery, without taking the path leading to it. Once in the village of
Auchonvillers, follow the signs to the Canadian Memorial.
Follow the road to get to the site.
